Oh Comely

My photos appeared for the first time in the lovely lovely Oh Comely magazine (Issue 10). They used one of my favourite cherry blossom photos and asked me some questions about spring in Japan. I also did a Vox Pop for them in Tokyo. The magazine should be available across the UK now. Check your local WH Smith!

Taffy

I shot a hotly-tipped Japanese band called Taffy in Tokyo last month. The photo was published in last week’s NME. I thought I’d posted about this but apparently I didn’t. Their debut album “Caramel Sunset” is out now in the UK and they’ll be touring the UK this autumn.

My First Book “CAMERAPOETICA”

Dear friends in Glasgow and beyond,

As some of you may already know, I got my first book published in Japan. It’s entitled “CAMERAPOETICA”, which features 20 photographs that I took in Glasgow, London, Brighton, Barcelona and Oban. Printed on photographic paper, the book is part of Fujifilm’s campaign to promote film culture.

“CAMERAPOETICA” is only available in Japan, however, if you’d like to own a copy, I’d be happy to ship one for you. It costs £23/€29/$37+P&P. As much as the book is very nice, I’m aware this is not cheap. So, I’ve decided to include a postcard that I made specially for those who purchased the book. Of course, I’ll do my very best to make your investment even more worthwhile (in a few years’ time).

Above all, I’d love “CAMERAPOETICA” to reach as many people around the world as possible. The book is the most intimate medium to admire photographic imagery. You can bring it with you wherever you are. Through my images, I’d like to invite you into layers of light, colour and reflection which have become a space for meditation.

Feel free to give me a shout if you’re interested!!

Diana Mini Workshop Report in Sha-girl

I led my first ever workshop on Diana Mini earlier this month in Tokyo. I had a lot of fun, so did the participants. The workshop was nicely reported in the latest issue of Japanese photography magazine, Sha-girl. I have two more Diana Mini workshops coming up in the next couple weeks.
